Medtech Forum Dublin – May 2023

The end of May was turned towards Europe with the Patrick Boisseau invitation to participate in the MedTech Europe in Dublin on Wednesday May 31st, 2023.

We pushed the boundaries of interactivity by giving the audience a voice on stage at the #MTF for our #Moveyourinnovation session.

To transform innovations into economic success, it is necessary to decompartmentalize and open up perspectives.

#Startups and #corporates are anticipating their times and planning to differing timelines and goals, while actively seeking #collaboration to accelerate #innovation and benefit #patients. So how can we manage this effectively?

To debate, we have brought together a prestigious and high-level #panel, moderated by Julie Rachline, with:

Enric Claverol : Head of the Medical Technologies Programme, European Commission 🇪🇺
Maeve McGrath : Head Healthcare Innovation, Roche
John MacNamara : VP R&D, Medtronic

Each was able to share their experience and expertise, like real #catalysts, to inspire and guide our audience. Thank you for sharing and engaging in dialogue around these key issues!

We are proud of this dynamic session where everyone’s voices were heard. This is how we will continue to drive innovation, collaboration, and health excellence!

About last months #March & #April

#March

March was an opportunity to highlight our community: entrepreneurs, Experts-in-Residence, students, startups and many others.

It is through a common vision oriented around the #patient and the #medical #community that our links with BIOMUNEX PHARMACEUTICALS have been built. For nearly 5 years, with an Expert-in-Residence at the helm of the outsourced Financial Department, #LallianSe has supported #Biomunex around different strategic and operational perspectives.

Meeting the needs of innovative companies with agility, flexibility and tailor-made: our commitment and our DNA since 2015!

Meet Pierre-Emmanuel Gerard, President, Founder and CEO of Biomunex, in the 𝘋𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘓𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘚𝘦 ?

At LallianSe, each support is structured to measure, in a flexible and agile way to meet the key challenges of the development of our customers and partners – another example with NBGH

Initiative launched by Voisin Consulting Life Sciences (VCLS) and led by Sébastien Giraudier, PhD, #Neighborhood is an annual #support program for 12 #health #startups which offers a series of interviews, support, exchanges and mentoring sessions .

#NBGH asked #LallianSe to lead the “360° Sessions” at the instigation of Emmanuelle Deponge, involved in the selection of projects while being #ExperteLallianSe for several years.

These sessions challenge all areas of business development: from planning to execution, from regulatory strategy to organization, thanks to LallianSe’s unique track-record and Emmanuelle’s #expertise.

lancée par et pilotée par #Neighborhood est un programme d’ #accompagnement annuel de 12 #startups en #santé qui offre une série d’entretiens, accompagnements, échanges et sessions de mentoring.

With#LallianSeEducation, two other synergies have emerged, made with LallianSe :

1. Under the impetus of Benedicte Garbil and Pauline Seiter this time, as part of the Bioentrepreneurs Launchpad master’s degree.

Launched by the Institut Imagine X-HEC Entrepreneurs and Université Paris Cité, this is a program for training #entrepreneurs and accelerating #startup#healthtech projects, with a strong impact for patients s addressed to scientists, pharmacists, engineers or even business and legal. Three LallianSe #Experts ensured this collaboration this year: Pascale Maisonneuve around strategic #regulatory aspects, followed by a 2nd one with Emmanuelle Deponge with an #investor focus and finally the last one with Chantal BELORGEY (Haute Autorité de Santé) about the market access. Three essential axes that make up the investment thesis, our keystone.

2. As part of the #Sorbonne University Diploma: training in the Valorization of Biomedical Research co-directed by Julie Rachline and Pierre Mozerand with the essential and original impulse of Alain Sezeur.

We had the opportunity to organize a #tableronde dedicated to #ehealth #issues with Alexandru A., Empiric Capital ▪️Catherine Boule Karista ▪️ Nicolas Castoldi @Hôtel-Dieu AP-HP, Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris ▪️ Franck LE MEUR TechToMed ▪️ Jeanne TIEU-BENICHOU Future4Care who not only shared their visions of e-health, but also debated and discussed the organizational, transformational and more generally consequences of our health and care system, driven by e-health .

Impossible to escape this fundamental #transformation: join the movement, and don’t hesitate to participate next year in #DUGBM – registrations will be open soon.

Sharing our experiences by supporting the training of the professionals of tomorrow: this is the approach that we favor, in addition to our other activities, to build the environment favorable to the #success of #innovations.

Finally, we organized alongside #Atessia a #webinar dedicated to #DM and more specifically on “The importance of a regulatory strategy when launching an innovative medical device”.

Consulting and expertise firm in Regulatory and Pharmaceutical Affairs, ATESSIA, Life Science Advisors is a committed and determined player in advancing and supporting healthcare companies. Our common values and our philosophy make this #collaboration natural.

We thank the team led by Géraldine BAUDOT-VISSER & Camille NEERMUL.

#April

At the start of the year, we announced the renewal of our #collaboration with the Rare Diseases Foundation as part of co-design workshops in e-health & rare diseases for projects in the early study phase. It was as a LallianSe Expert that Julie Rachline was able to bring her experience and #expertise.

What are the objectives of these workshops?
🎯 Helping in the initiation of innovative projects by identifying the necessary resources and the key steps for their implementation
🎯 Adopt a collaborative approach and stimulate inter-business dialogue from the first ideas
🎯 Promote discussions with partners and Experts who master the subject

Why is this important to us?
💪 To promote the emergence of innovations carried out by health professionals
🙌 To support the improvement of the care and life course of people with a rare disease
🤝 To be consistent with our values and our field initiatives

The alignment of our values with this initiative is also supported by our hospital immersion. Indeed, our unique location in the heart of the hospital allows us to build privileged relationships and launch initiatives dedicated to the medical and hospital community.

A few weeks ago we announced the launch of the 4th edition of the #ChallengeInnovation Рinnovation competition for #paramedical and #medicotechnical staff, in collaboration with the AP-HP, Assistance Publique РH̫pitaux de Paris Sorbonne University.

Last year we innovated and redesigned the course by integrating #DesignThinking workshops to support project leaders in preparing their files with Lowpital. This year, the course has been further improved with the involvement of Kevin ATTAL, Deputy Director of Research and Innovation at the GHU. By adopting an active & agile approach, a complementary tailor-made course has been set up for more successful projects, with the support of various GHU departments.

We are happy to renew this virtuous initiative to encourage #innovations in #hospital.

In this same momentum of initiatives, we were also very happy to announce the 5th edition of FestiLAB!

The FestiLAB is a private and unique artistic event whose mission is to collect donations for the benefit of health innovation. The profits collected are then donated to innovation projects carried out by the paramedical staff of the AP-HP group’s hospital sites. Sorbonne University during the Challenge Innovation.

This fifth edition will be held on Tuesday July 4, 2023, from 6:30 p.m., in the chapel of the Saint Louis Church of the Pitié Salpêtrière hospital – an exceptional moment thanks to Lucie Carbone, humorist and actress, whom we thank you. And in the first part, The Entrepreneurs: seven talents of health innovation who will take the stage, an amateur acoustic rock band who works alongside us to bring out initiatives and innovation projects. Hoping to have the pleasure of counting you among us for this new edition!

Opening of the ticket office in a few weeks #staytuned..

About last months #January & #February

#January

On your marks, get set…GO !

The tone was set from the beginning ofJanuary: new year, new collaborations, new perspectives

2023 is launched with #LallianSeenmouvement and more precisely during #JPMorganWeek in San Francisco . Building and operating equity stories at #LallianSe requires understanding and translating the financing and innovation environment. Allowing entrepreneurs and managers to refine their development and investor relations strategies is one of our essential pillars.

Associer

Associating LallianSe with the #FrenchCorner of Business France and contributing to this by co-organizing the #FrenchHappyHour was therefore obvious and in continuity with the last edition of the French night, 3 years ago!

We thank our #partners and especially Jerome Revole Marie-Astrid Sevilla & Ily̬s Loutfi, Pharm.D from Business France Healthcare РNorth America.

In our approach to bring out the initiatives and projects of tomorrow, LallianSe has renewed the #collaboration with the Fondation Maladies Rares for the #atelier de co-design pour les #innovations en santé numérique. Julie Rachline explains why it’s important to us: listen to her!

How to bring out innovation projects by caregivers, at the heart of the hospital?

Through our initiatives and our commitment since 2017 to caregivers, we have notably initiated since 2018 the #ChallengeInnovationРannual innovation competition in partnership with the hospital-university group AP-HP, Assistance Publique РH̫pitaux de Paris.Sorbonne Universit̩.

Last year, the first #prize was awarded to Sandrine Bottius, course coordinator in the transition service from pediatrics to the adult sector at La Pitié-Salpêtrière, for the development of an #escapegame for adolescents and young people. adults. Beyond the financial allocation provided by the hospital, LallianSe accompanies Sandrine for 12 months through regular, dedicated meetings, network opening, management of service providers, identification of key partners and many other actions. Again. Hospital immersion by #LallianSe allows the emergence of #synergies and relationships between operators and care actors.

Check out our shared #values in the latest #DoYouSpeakLallianSe?

Finally, it is a pleasure to find our initiative cited by #Lowpital in the article published on the theme “How can healthcare intrapreneurship & collaborative methods contribute to improving the patient experience?“. This is the question that #Lowpital had to answer in the article published by ManagerSante.com® | L’expertise interdisciplinaire en management de la santé.

Finally, in September 2022 we announced the #launch of LallianSe Education. In the deployment of this new initiative, first module of the #Sorbonne Université Diploma: formation à la Valorisation de la Recherche Biomédicale. This #training, whose direction is provided by Julie Rachline alongside Pierre Mozer and under the initial and unfailing impetus of Alain Sezeur, is aimed at all researchers, engineers, administrators, health professionals, doctoral students… and others !

The diploma training addresses all the #issues of research and biomedical innovation as well as the techniques of enhancement beyond being a first stone to initiate and develop your #network. The other two weeks of modules are scheduled for next March!

In the continuity of our sharing of experiences, we launched the 3rd edition of the Embûches de l’Innovation with the participation of Gilles Avenard, CEO Acticor Biotech.

A historic relationship between Gilles Avenard and Pascale Maisonneuve, both hematologists, and then crossed entrepreneur / investor paths between Gilles Avenard and Julie Rachline – thank you for playing the game of sharing and resilience with us!

If you’re wondering how he (eventually) managed to fund the development of a stroke drug, find the replay .

#February

The launch of the 4th edition of the Challenge Innovation has taken place!

For the 4th time, LallianSe and AP-HP Sorbonne Universit̩ have joined forces to launch Challenge Innovation #4 Рinnovation competition for #paramedical and #medicotechnical staff at GH.

In order to initiate our call for projects, on Monday February 6, 2023, we organized a Rencontre de l’Innovation, a conference intended for the paramedical and technical staff of the GHU APHP.Sorbonne Université.

In line with our hospital #immersion for 6 years, we thought of this exchange as an opportunity to make the #hospital community interact around innovation issues. The opportunity to highlight the 2 winners of the #ChallengeInnovation3, Sandrine Bottius and Axelle Pierre-Joseph, who came to testify about their careers and the progress of their innovative projects.

In January, you were able to discover a Do you speak LallianSe ? with Sandrine, we now offer you to listen to the winner of the second #prize, Axelle Pierre-Joseph, stomatherapist nurse at Pitié-Salpêtrière for the REVAP STOMIE project. This is a #virtualreality (#VR) teaching tool for student nurses to improve #ostomy care. Bravo Axelle, #LallianSe is happy with these 6 months of support too!

Check out our shared #values in the latest #DoYouSpeakLallianSe?

Our commitment and the values we uphold do not stop at the hospital. The sense of entrepreneurship, the fierce desire to transform ideas into health products in an effective, sustainable way that responds to key health issues is also expressed through our speaking out.

And especially during the 2nd virtual round table organized by the #ESCP alumni community. Focused on #earlystage #investment in #deeptech healthcare startups, this roundtable brought together investors, founders and professors.

Thanks to Jianfeng Li for proposing to Julie Rachline to be part of it as #LallianSe and BrainTale CEO, alongside Benjamin Joffe, Frederic Jallat, Adrien Gatineau and Paul Rinaudo.

The same goes for supporting causes that are dear to us. Under the aegis of the Ministère de la Santé and Prevention François BRAUN, the #colloqueFAST was held, bringing together energies to accelerate the fight against #cancers of children and adolescents.

Bringing a benefit to patients, seeking #impact and achieving it: a strong #ambition to ultimately succeed in this fight against pediatric cancers. #LallianSe is proud to contribute in its own way to this essential battle.

Thanks to ERRARD Patrick for organizing and moderating this round table “To change scale by inventing a new financing model” in which Julie Rachline was able to participate remotely, alongside Lise ALTER, Eric BASEILHAC and Michel Lauzzana.

One-to-one with Gérard Garouste

What analogies between artistic creation and innovation? How can we draw inspiration from artistic creativity in our daily lives as entrepreneurs?

In accordance with our #values, and through our #atypical approach, LallianSe has taken the initiative to stimulate a privileged dialogue with Gérard Garouste, one of the most important contemporary painters, by organizing an exclusive and unique event: a one-to-one and a visit to his retrospective at the Centre Pompidou, which you can visit until 2023 January 2.

Transmission, perseverance, resilience and ambition – qualities and values highlighted by Gérard Garouste, which are perfectly reflected in our daily lives as entrepreneurs, researchers and other players in the world of healthcare innovation.

Thanks to Gérard and the #AssociationLaSource for this suspended moment and these nods to our #Embûches de l’Innovation, beyond being an essential source of inspiration for an enthusiastic future.

About last months #November #December

NOVEMBER

#COLLABORATION ! This is the term that symbolizes November!

Emmanuelle Deponge integrated Karla Therapeutics within LallianSe. Karla is a #biotech startup dedicated to the development of immunotherapy for neuropsychiatric diseases aiming to improve #mentalhealth.

For several months, LallianSe has been collaborating alongside Simon LOIODICE as a « Sparring Partner » : what is it? Simon talks about it better than us in the last 𝘋𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘓𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘚𝘦 ?

In fact, it was published a few days before winning the #pitch contest – in the ‘Therapeutics’ category – during #BioFIT2022 of which we were #partner.

BioFIT Event is the leading #event in Europe for technology transfer, academia-industry collaborations and early-stage innovations in the field of Life Sciences. It is also the European marketplace for seed capital and venture capital investment in Life Sciences.

It is in particular with her #BrainTaleCEO‘s cap that Julie Rachline was present. Indeed, LallianSe builds, develops and manages the equity story of BrainTale, our flagship initiative since 2016 :

– Cofounding of the company with Vincent Perlbarg, Didier Cassereau, Louis Puybasset, Damien Galanaud & Velly Lionel
– Integration and reinforcement of the team,
– Accommodation in hospital coworking,
– Management of experts and entrepreneurs in residence,
– Fundraising…

As a Health #Integrateur and equity story builder, this event was an #opportunity for future #collaborations.

#LallianSeenmouvement and keeping our thread for #collaboration :

Daphné Revol represented LallianSe in the #Jury of the #Readaptathon «Innovation & Handicap » : innovation competition organized by #SOFMER in Rennes.

The resonance with our initiatives such as the Challenge Innovation in collaboration with the GHU APHP. Sorbonne Université de l’AP-HP & the 1st Par’Innov Challenge with the GHU APHP. Nord Université Paris Cité, or the #STEPtember with the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale was such that we could only accept!

Our hospital #immersion allows us to understand medical needs and translate them into a business project.

Congratulations to the #winners! Sophie Hameau, Rodolphe Bailly, Iris Marolleau & mathieu rietman and to all the teams.

DECEMBER

If november was symbolized by #collaboration, December was represented by #transmission :

Starting with several important interventions at the beginning of December:

At Future4Care the 5th Annual PLCF #Biotechs & #Pharma Conference entitled Cross-views on the financing of health innovation. On this occasion, two interactive round tables were organized, including a unique #panel of speakers including Julie Rachline.

On the occasion of the JP Morgan Week, the world’s leading hub for #investissements in #health, Business France Healthcare – North America organized a preparation #masterclass ahead of the event and invited us to speak.

It was alongside Patrick Tricoli, #CEONanobiotix US, a historic customer of #LallianSe, that Julie Rachline had the pleasure of intervening in order to transmit the Feedbacks & tips to prepare for the JPM Conference.

This #partnership is in line with #LallianSeEducation : sharing our #experiences, helping to open up #perspectives to build an environment conducive to the #success of health innovations.

Stay tuned for a #JPMorgan event co-organized by Business France Healthcare – North America & #LallianSe in January in San Francisco!

On the occasion of the 11th session de #training– and closing! – from the #DragonAcademy with SmiLe Incubator, Emmanuelle Deponge and Julie Rachline organized a panel of #investors. The goal ? Putting multicultural approaches between European #VCs into perspective!

Many thanks to Alexander Demoulin, Bruno Montanari and Simon Turner for sharing their views and engaging with the Swedish audience.

We like to transmit, but we also like to integrate our network in this desire for transmission, through two initiatives made in LallianSe.

The first through the Embûche de l’Innovation #2 and Surge experience sharing. For 11 months, Julie Rachline & Daphné Revol have been supporting « Sparring Partner » leaders. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that we wanted to leave them the stage so that they transmit – in hybrid format! – their paths to #success. Find the podcast here!

In accordance with our #values, and through our #atypical approach, LallianSe took the initiative to stimulate a privileged dialogue with Gérard Garouste, one of the most important contemporary painters, by organizing an exclusive and unique event: an intimate meeting and a visit to his retrospective at the Centre Pompidou.

Transmission, perseverance, resilience et ambition – qualities and values highlighted by Gérard Garouste, which are perfectly reflected in our daily lives as entrepreneurs, researchers and other players in the world of healthcare innovation.

Thanks to Gérard Garouste and the #AssociationLaSource for this suspended moment and these nods to our #Embûches de l’Innovation, beyond being an essential source of inspiration for an enthusiastic future.

Find the photos in the dedicated article.

2023 : here we come !

LallianSe continues to renew and innovate! And for that, we need your opinion in order to offer you quality #interactions, at the height of our #expertise and the excellence of our #network.

We have put a #questionnaire online which aims to better understand you and put 2023 into perspective with agility.

It will only take you a few minutes, all views are welcome: https://forms.office.com/e/5JKUi8n6Xh.

#2022 is ending, it’s time to look to the future and plan.

But also to say thank you ! #Thank you for these #synergies, these exchanges, and these projects, always more inspiring, attractive and motivating.

Thanks to you, a virtuous circle is being built, and this is the greatest reward for us.

Rendez-vous in #2023 🚀

Do you speak LallianSe #16 Philippe Mendels Flandre, Austral Dx

Meet Philippe Mendels Flandre, co-founder & CEO Austral Dx

Hospital immersion by LallianSe allows the emergence of #synergies and relationships between innovators and care actors.

This is how almost 6 years ago, when we moved to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, the connection was made with Pr Similowski, head of the Pneumology, Intensive Medicine and Resuscitation department of the GH.

On his initiative alongside the ILL Institut Laue Langevin without forgetting the CNRS, Austral Dx was born in the fall of 2021. Austral Dx makes it possible to characterize cardio-respiratory diseases thanks to a device capable of remotely mapping vibrations of the surface of the body.

For several months, LallianSe has been supporting the team led by Phillipe Mendels-Flandre to accelerate the development of the company with a clinical management outsourced on a part-time basis by the Experts-in-Residence of the LallianSe #network.

About last months #September & #October

SEPTEMBER

On your marks, get set…GO ! The tone was set from the beginning of September: commitment, collaboration, festive!

Commitment: with the Smile Incubator, we were pleased to announce the #launch of LallianSe Education : #training programs for health innovation players. Sharing our experiences, our knowledge and creating dialogue between different worlds while helping to train the managers of tomorrow: this is the approach that we favor, in addition to our other activities, to build an environment favorable to the success of health innovations.

First stone with the #DragonAcademy, thanks too Ebba FÃ¥hraeus and SmiLe Incubator. And it is alongside Luca Venza that Julie Rachline and Emmanuelle Deponge are co-piloting the initiative.

September was also an opportunity to invite you behind the scenes of a #brainstorming made in LallianSe and to briefly share our thoughts and exchanges around a question:

What are the pitfalls encountered in the innovation ecosystem?

To answer this question, and because entrepreneurship is an #Adventure strewn with lots of #Embûche, we launched the 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐮̂𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐥’𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: series of testimonials and sharing. For the 1st eidition, you could find Stephane Degove who enthusiastically shared his pitfalls as #CEO at Atamyo Therapeutics, and highlighted his paths to #success.

We close this series of news with another #milestone: thanks to your #support w have reached the 1000 LinkedIn followers. More than numbers, we are building a #community to build the environment conducive to everyone’s success. It was therefore an opportunity for the whole team: Julie Rachline I Pascale Maisonneuve I Shahrzad Moradi I Daphné Revol I Karine Coquelin I Emmanuelle Deponge I Benedicte Garbil I Vincent Montlahuc and Sylvie Bove to thank you for following our adventures on LinkedIn. A nod to Mathieu Michalet who played the game and whom we had the pleasure of meeting in the flesh.

Collaboration: active support of the Agora of digital care, we have organized the satellite meeting event between #investors and spin-off of the AP-HP, a priviledged “interface” in which LallianSe is part of on a daily basis. As a reminder, the Agora was a first free event, with moments of exchange at the crossroads of research, care and innovation through workshops, conferences and meeting times, immersed in the heart of the hospital of the Hôtel Dieu.

This collaboration is an extension of our initiatives to promote the emergence of new models of partnerships between the world of #startups and the world of #hospital.

Again, alongside the Fondation Paralysie C̩r̩brale through #STEPtember. We have taken up this 3 in 1 challenge which allows you to walk 10 000 steps a day. Congrats and thank you to UroMems, BrainTale, Catherine Boule, Lowpital and the entire LallianSe #team for playing the game. More than 11 people registered in the team and funds raised for the Fondation Рwe continue!

Together, we generated 𝟭,𝟱𝟬𝟴,𝟯𝟳𝟴 steps!

Finally, for the 4th consecutive year, LallianSe was a partner of the Pharma HealthTech: an event organized by Pharmaceutiques and TechToMed, this edition was focused on the theme of #AI. Member of the network of LallianSe #Expert, #sponsor of the #FestiLAB since the first edition and so many other past and future collaboartions, we are delighted to once again support Franck and more broadly the TechToMed team.

In the news of our start-ups and our offers, we were delighted to highlight:

  1. Surge, which carried out its first fundraising of €2.5 million and entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Stanford. We have already been actively collaborating alongside the management and operational team for 9 months on fundraising and equity story issues.
  2. VistaCare Medical is more than one of our historical clients – it has become a unique professional #meeting between our #Expert Thierry Sarda, in residence for 4 years alongside the president of Vistacare, François Dufaÿ. During a #staffmeeting of the multidisciplinary “Wounds & Healing” team of Bichat #hospital, Thierry Sarda came to present #WECtherapy, an innovative approach proposed by VistaCare Medical to take care of difficult wounds. The opportunity to highlight an example of our hospital immersion.

OCTOBER

Another example of our hospital immersion ? We have partnered with the GHU APHP. Paris Nord to launch the Par’InnovChallenge for #medical #paramedical and #medicotechnical personnel. We thought of this open #innovation approach as an opportunity to get the #hospital community to interact around innovation issues. Beyond the financial envelope, #accompaniment LallianSe will promote the acceleration of these projects for patients and healthcare professionals.

What is the point of innovating, if we are not protected? This was the theme of our last Aventure de l’Innovation. For this #webinar, we welcomed Jean-René Bailly & Nadine Rocaboy from Plasseraud IP to share with enthusiasm and professionalism the challenges of industrial property. You weren’t able to attend this #Aventuredelinnovation and you want to know more about #intellectualproperty? Find the #replay here.

Remember, she led our Aventure de l’Innovation #32, recently arrived at LallianSe, Benedicte Garbil is our Entrepreneur in Residence, notably carrying our #RHUaccess offer, to prepare healthcare establishments for #RHU calls for projects. Beyond shared values, she was able to immediately grasp the added value of LallianSe – Life Sciences Integrator: a job as a translator that allows dialogue and understanding of different worlds. Find her in the last episode of our Do You Speak LallianSe ?

#LallianSeenmouvement – you couldn’t miss it.. Indeed, the month of October was eventful!

1. We went back to digital class with the Université Grenoble Alpes with students for an intervention on #entrepreneurship and the different actors. Julie Rachline and Daphné Revol were delighted to interact with these students who demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for the #challenges and issues of the health innovation ecosystem.

2. It was then Emmanuelle Deponge who went with our partner Techtomed and Franck LE MEUR on the #LearningExpedition to #Berlin in #immersion in a German #digitalhealth #ecosystem. This#experience was an opportunity to seek inspiration and feed our thoughts on #innovation. In line with our ambitions, we want to #decompartmentalize, dare different approaches and have an impact beyond our borders.

3. On the occasion of the #Journéedelaudition2022 organizad by the Société Française d’ORL – SFORL and the Fondation Pour l’Audition in Marseille, thank you to Bernard Fraysse for inviting our president Julie Rachline to participate in the #Jury of # Innovations in #audiology and #otology, as well as a round table.

4. Then, in Sweden the 5th training session of the #DragonAcademy program took place in a #workshop format led by the LallianSe pair Emmanuelle Deponge & Julie Rachline. Practical session for the Academy: how to work on an investment thesis? What are the elements to highlight in an investment strategy geared towards venture capitalists (#VCs)? With concrete cases, the participants will work on the construction of “compatible VC” investment theses.

5. Finally, at the France Healthcare Innovation Summit 2022 the objective of which was to address #innovation geared towards new medicine and the transformation of healthcare systems in France around various #roundtables. As an #integrator of health innovations, we were a stakeholder in this event through our prism of hospital #immersion and growth support.

As you will have understood, sharing our experiences by supporting the training of tomorrow’s professionals, having a hospital #immersion that encourages us to understand medical needs in a holistic way: these are the markdowns that we favor, in addition to our other activities, to build an environment conducive to the #success of #innovations.

Embûches de l’Innovation #1

We are officially launching our 1st Embûche de l’Innovation !

We are thrilled to have Stéphane Degove beside us for the kick-off.

Meet us on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 at 7pm, in our Pitié-Salpêtrière space.

Event by registration only, at embuche@lallianse.com.

« SUCCESS CONSISTS OF GOING FROM FAILURE TO FAILURE WITHOUT LOSS OF ENTHUSIASM », Winston Churchill.

Innovation and failure are thus instrinsically linked. And the enthusiasm is essential of course!

What about the culture of failure and risk in the innovation ecosystem in France?
How to bounce back and keep your enthusiasm?
How to accept to go to new situations sometimes difficult?

It is around testimony, then exchange, simple, without taboos and in all benevolence, that we invite you to come and share your enthusiasm and the failures encountered, or to listen to our speakers, in order to highlight the paths to success.

Want to contribute? Contact us: embuche@lallianse.com

About last months #May & #June & #July 2022

MAY & JUNE

Our May and June months were turned towards Europe with the Patrick Boisseau invitation to participate in the MedTech Europe in Barcelona on Wednesday May 4th 2022. Thus, Julie Rachline had free reign to lead the #MoveYourInnovation session to which she invited Marc Martinell (Minoryx Therapeutics) and Nils Reimers (Stryker) to join her and to contribute to the development of the relations between big and innovative groups of the medtech.

Our ambition is to transform healthcare innovations in economic successes : from the #startups to #SMEs to the #Giants,it is crucial to open the dialogue with the public, by collecting their opinions on key questions all the while sharing our experiences.

There was a renewal of the collaboration with the GIANT Health Event for the Parisian day of the European Health Tech Innovation Week which happened remotely on Tuesday may 17th 2022.  We were able to get together four members of our network and to moderate the session live from our Appartement de l’Innovation at the Bichat Hospital, around one key question: how has AI created intelligent hospitals who take care of their patients and of healthcare ?

A big thank you to the contributors who participated: Alexandre Mignon I David Guez I Jean-Philippe Bertocchio (SKEZI) I Sacha Rozencwajg (Team’Doc).

Would you like to interact with them? Contact us and we will relay your message.

This Tuesday May 17th was particularly full: that very evening, the come-back of the Aventure de l’Innovation #32 in-person lead by Bénédicte Garbil Entrepreneuse in résidence at LallianSe.

Throughout its 5 editions, the call to hospital-university research projects called #RHU imposed itself as a major financing tool. Proposing a “translational” research model, the RHU projects associate the academic, hospital and entrepreneurial sectors. The RHU programs should probably be the subject of a 6th edition during the 2nd semester of the year 2022. What are the prerequired ? What are the Jury’s expectations ? How to prepare your case file?

Do you remember, in the context of our partnership with the AP-HP, Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris Sorbonne Université we had decided to innovate for the Challenge Innovation #3 destined to the #paramedicaland #médicotechniquepersonnel ? For this edition, 3 ‘Design thinking’ workshops accompanied the paramedical teams thanks to the teams of Lowpital (Aude Nyadanu, PhD and Maylis Callier) to prepare the submissions of the call to projects.

What did the workshops teach them ? In what way did they help them ? Listen to their testimony in the video below:

Lastly, two new episodes of our Do You Speak LallianSe ? chronicle :

Episod #12 : From #Stanford to the #startup, Julien Hédou and Benjamin Choisy tell us about Surge’s mission: to reinvent and improve the handling of surgical patients. Regulations, equity story, implementation of clinical studies, a multifaceted collaboration since multiple months.

Episod #13 : By giving the #impulse of a meeting between #healthcare and #technology, TechToMed has the ambition of creating an indispensable link between the world of technology and the one of healthcare. Our ambitions join up with an impulse given around a meeting between Franck LE MEUR and Julie Rachline a little less than 10 years ago already ! Member of the Lallianse #Expert network #sponsor of the #FestiLAB since the 1st edition and so many more past and coming collaborations, notably with our partnership at the DTx France© : meet Franck LE MEUR, CEO at TechToMed.

July

We could not finish this article without mentioning our annual flagship event, the FestiLAB #4 : the annual artistic, unique and unifying #event organized by LallianSe – Life Sciences Integrator reuniting public and private partners, volunteering and engaged in the development of a virtuous ecosystem in healthcare innovation. The event allows to bring to the surface innovating projects in healthcare , by donating the #benefits collected during the night for the #ChallengeInnovation, innovating call to projects dedicated to the paramedical and technical personnel of the Groupe Hospitalo-Universitaire AP-HP, Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris.Sorbonne Université

A huge thanks to all the benefactors of the #FestiLAB : Goodwin Anne-Charlotte Riviere I Lowpital Aude Nyadanu, PhD I Nextep Guillaume Bouchara I Alira Health Marc Nomaksteinsky Benjamin Chambon I L3S Partnership Virginie Lleu I TechToMed Franck LE MEUR Emma Decrozant et LallianSe – Life Sciences Integrator bien sûr !

And another one obviously to the acoustic rock band that LallianSe takes a special pleasure to accompany, reinforce, challenge and most of all listen to, The Entrepreneurs, who started us off : Olivier Blin I Aude Nyadanu, PhD I Cesar Blin I Alicia Mc Loughlin I Pascale Jordan I Jonathan CHRIQUI I Dorothée Uriet et Mireille Chadaida.

Challenge Innovation #3

We have the pleasure to officially launch our Challenge Innovation #3!

The Challenge Innovation is the competition initiated by LallianSe since 2018 with APHP.Sorbonne University to distribute the profits generated during the previous FestiLAB, an annual charity event. Made possible by the support of privileged partners which brings together around an artistic project, an acoustic rock band and a private event for the actors of innovation (entrepreneurs, hospitals, researchers, investors, recruiters, developers, service providers, etc.). The Challenge Innovation is the competition designed to distribute the donations collected during FestiLAB.

In order to launch our call for projects, on Tuesday January 18, 2022, we organized a Rencontre de l’Innovation, a conference intended for the paramedical and technical staff of the GH APHP.Sorbonne University.

We’d like to thank our speakers and partners : Tatiana Akake (Deputy Director at the Research & Innovation Department at the GH APHP. Sorbonne Université), Pierre Mozer (Urologist et co-founder of UroMems), Cécile Combes (Physiotherapist and winner of the Challenge Innovation #2), Aude Nyadanu (serial entrepreneurs, singer of our rock band The Entrepreneurs at the FestiLAB, founder of Lowpital and much more), Patrick Delamare (General Care Coordinator of the GH APHP.Sorbonne Université) and at alst Julie Rachline (CEO LallianSe). Find their experiences and interventions in the replay below:

For this 3rd edition we have decided to make the make the call for projects process more complete and supportive. Here is the process, the conditions & modalities, as well as the calendar to apply.

You have an idea, a project and you meet the mandatory conditions to apply? Fill out our online questionnaire and get started on the adventure!

The Challenge Innovation also innovates! As you know, this year, 3 ‘Design Thinking’ workshops accompany the paramedical teams: a variety of projects that illustrate the contribution of collective intelligence methods and the user approach, deployed by the teams of Lowpital, Aude and Maylis. It is also the consistency to involve Aude, singer of Les Entrepreneurs, even more in the adventure! Here are the first images of the launch of the workshops which take place with great enthusiasm from the participants:

Remember, as part of our collaboration with the AP-HP, Public Assistance – Hospitals of Paris Sorbonne University for the 3rd #ChallengeInnovation for #paramedical and #medicotechnical staff of the GH, we had decided to innovate! This year, 3 ‘Design Thinking’ workshops accompanied the paramedical teams by the teams of Lowpital, Aude Nyadanu and Maylis Callier to help them prepare the call for projects.

What did these workshops bring them? How did that help them? Hear their stories in the video below:

Depuis

Since 2019, LallianSe and the APHP.Sorbonne University Hospital-University Group have joined forces to launch the third edition of the Challenge Innovation for paramedical and medical-technical personnel at APHP.Sorbonne University. LallianSe works in partnership with APHP.Sorbonne University to support and accompany the initiatives of healthcare professionals who carry out innovations.

On May 12, 2022, the Research and Innovation Department of APHP.Sorbonne University and the General Management of LallianSe, unanimously by the Jury, awarded two prizes.

Le

The Jury was composed of Pauline Maisani, Director of the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital and Deputy General Director of the GHU APHP.SU, Patrick Delamare, Deputy General Coordinator of Care of the GHU APHP.SU, Florence Mahé-Dombis, Sponsorship Manager of Sorbonne Université Faculty of Medicine, Pascale Maisonneuve, General Secretary of the LallianSe association, Tatiana Akake-Beshelemu, Deputy Director of Research and Innovation of the GH APHP.SU, and Julie Rachline, President of LallianSe.

The 1st Prize of the Innovation Challenge #3 is awarded to the ESCAPE GAME DIGITAL project IN THE PEDIATRIC-ADULT TRANSITION led by Sandrine Bottius, Health course coordinator at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. It is accompanied by a grant of €12,000 as well as support by LallianSe for 12 months.

This project will be a tool that can be used by pediatrics and adult medicine to help prepare for the transition and strengthen the patient’s adherence to their adult health journey through a better understanding and apprehension of the stages that make up this period. It is designed in a generic enough way to also be used transversely by pediatric hospitals for preparation for the Transition on the one hand, and on the other hand by adult hospitals for the adhesion of the young patient to his course.

The 2nd Prize of the Challenge Innovation #3 is awarded to the REVAP-STOMIE project led by Axelle Pierre-Joseph, Nurse Stomatherapist at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital. It is accompanied by a grant of €5,000 as well as support by LallianSe for 6 months.

Within the framework of the REVAP project (REalité Virtuelle Apprentissage), a tool for teaching surgery for caesarean section had already been developed, using virtual reality (VR), based on a combination of 3D videos captured during a surgical intervention and lessons interactive. This tool would make it possible to see and review the various treatments as well as the techniques for fitting ostomies on a support allowing a projection of the caregiver very close to reality. Ostomy care is little known care, not taught in the majority of IFSIs.

The Jury would like to point out the quality of all the projects presented to it. The GHU APHP.Sorbonne Université and LallianSe renew to all the paramedical and technical staff their congratulations for having participated, and hope to continue these projects for the emergence and promotion of health innovations.

See you at the Challenge Innovation #4 !

June started next to HealthTech For Care where LallianSe will introduce the HealthTech for Patients event event on Monday, June 7th, 2021. Indeed, Pascale Maisonneuve, our VP regulatory strategy, who will open the ball alongside Maryvonne Hiance , President of HealthTech For Care and Ioana-Maria Gligor, Head of Unit European Reference Networks and Digital Health at European Commission. The whole team was happy to be a stakeholder in this event, a real opportunity to approach the ‘patients’ theme from different perspectives.

We unveiled a new episod, the #7 of our chronicle, Do you speak LallianSe ?, with the participation of two members of the UroMems team, find them below :

Following various technical problems during the Giant European Health Tech week, we had to cut short the presentations of Jessica Walker (Atlanpole) and Cécile Jupin (Business France). But with a little imagination and seeing a nice synergy in this duo, we recorded them on a ‘Pitch Party’ format, see the result:

Hello July : FestiLAB #3 !

We can’t end our article without going back on our key event, the one marking the beginning of summer and its recess: FestiLAB #3 !

A magical evening, Entrepreneurs on stage, an incredible duo formed by Marie Modiano et Peter Von Poehl, a warm audience. A moment suspended in time, followed by a garden party under a mild sky and little wonders to enjoy thanks to Meet My Mama. After 2 years of absence, and these 16 complicated months, what a pleasure to see you again! And we are already getting requests for the 4th edition, that’s great because we already have some ideas so… stay tuned!

This is the time for us to thank you again:Marie Modiano et Peter Von Poehl, guests, supporters, providers, partners, volunteers and mostly our benefactors: Goodwin I Alira Health I HTI – Healthcare & Technology International I L3S Partnership I TechToMed and of course our music band, The Entrepreneurs Olivier Blin I Aude Nyadanu, PhD I Jonathan CHRIQUI I Pascale Jordan I Emmanuelle Deponge I Cesar Blin ! Find below our acknowledgment :

At last but not least, let’s not forget our main goal surrounding the FestiLAB : the Challenge Innovation. Initiated byLallianSe since 2018 with the Groupe Hospitalo-Universitaire APHP.Sorbonne Université, the Challenge Innovation is the competition designed to distribute the donations collected during the FestiLAB.

We were proud to announce in February 2021 that the Challenge Innovation #2 Prize was awarded to the DISTRACTION CACTUS project, led by Ms. Cécile Combes, physiotherapist masseur at the CF Resource and Skills Center at Armand Trousseau Hospital.

The Challenge Innovation #2 Prize is accompanied by the entire endowment of € 10,000, as well as support by LallianSe equivalent to € 13,500.It had been given to her behind closed doors given the health situation, so it seemed important to us and we were particularly keen to let Cécile speak at the FestiLAB #3 and present her winning project, the ‘pikidou’. Are you curious about it ? Listen to Cécile here :

We take these last lines to thank you, readers and members of the LallianSe community for your support throughout the past few months. The whole LallianSe team will take advantage of this summer break to replenish our energy… and it will take some because the start the school year promises a lot of nice surprises and highlights, we can’t wait to share them with you! Have a nice summer!

About last month #May

Events… don’t forget to read the last paragraph…!

Chronologically our Aventure de l’Innovation #24, led by Clémence LAUR, Engineer Consultant at DIX SEPTEMBRE kicked off May. You can find the replay here.

Our main event of the month, European and in a partnership for the second time with Giant, for the «European Health-Tech Innovation week » took place on May 18th. Although Giant had planned to organize a week of seminars and other round tables in 5 European cities, we made the choice to put forward the whole French ecosystem and therefore rather than staying in Paris, LallianSe has decided to highlight different territories and renamed the ‘Paris Day’ to ‘French Day’! We would like to thank our speakers whom you’ll find here.

A busy schedule with participants from varied and exceptional backgrounds, fascinating round tables and collaborations, fundraising and partnerships that will be based on these efficient and exciting discussions!

4 years of LallianSe coworking!

4 years of LallianSe LAB!

Few days have gone since the official date, but the facts are there: already 4 candles to blow for the first coworking space immersed at hospital, within the Pitié Salpêtrière hospital. Four years of meetings, discussions, events, creation of projects, challenges, synergies, in short, 4 years of community building and amazing interactions.

On March 10, 2017, the Association LallianSe pour l’Innovation en Santé was born, known as LallianSe LAB. It has started with just two of us, then 3, then more, with bits of string and not a lot of means, but with goodwill and enthusiasm that this “homemade” space was born and that we made ourselves happy to create an atmosphere aligned with our values and our image.

If working in a collaborative space is now trendy and chosen by many companies, immerging such an approach within a hospital and at the center of patient care was, and remains a challenge. Yet in 4 years, we have been able, with investment and agility, to build a place that stimulates creativity, promotes sharing of knowledge and experiences, within the same working ecosystem altogether creating links between different and torn apart worls.

Indeed, today the LallianSe LAB offers a range of diversified solutions: collaborative experience, networking, support, one-off services, events … we are a living lab, initiator and promoting interactions for the ultimate benefit of patients.

These first achievements and the success of these initiatives have encouraged expansion of this concept and potentiality to open a second – mandatory as the first is full! –  LAB within hospital Bichat -Claude Bernard on the GHU APHP.Nord Université de Paris. Opening planned in 2021: proud and excited!

Another key moment, on the occasion of the Giant Health Event we organized a conference entitled What building a compelling equity story in Healthcare means. About last month #November

Aventure de l’Innovation #19 on November 24th, 2020 with Joseph Barsey, LallianSe Expert

November was marked by our Aventure de l’Innovation #19, full remote. This event was presented by Joseph Barsey, a LallianSe Expert.

Remember, for the Aventure de l’Innovation #18 last October, we decided to replace the traditional homemade aperitif with a competition, thus offering a privileged interaction a posteriori.

This is how 5 participants were able to have a privileged meeting with Jean-Claude Ghislain (ex ANSM) on November 23rd, 2020.

Our milestones

November, 2 milestones!

Indeed, we celebrated the #5yearsofLallianSe. Our first five-year term told on our Blog, reviewing these past 5 years, and already seeing ourselves into the next 5 years, which will allow us to celebrate our decade. Lets meet soon!

And because every milestone counts, we are proud to announce that LallianSe target of 500 followers on its Linkedin page has been achieved! Thanks to everyone!

Hello December!

We told you last month that despite the strict health protocol, we had to close our coworking space, the LallianSe LAB, at Pitié-Salpêtrière, as of October 30th, 2020 for an indefinite period. We had to extend the closure until the end of December, but hope to reopen our doors on January 4th, 2021!

This closure also led us to postpone the deadline for submitting the Challenge Innovation #2 projects. Indeed, the call for applications being addressed to paramedical and technical personnel, this decision taken by mutual agreement with the Research & Innovation Departement of the Hospital seemed obvious to us due to the current health crisis.

As you know, keeping the connection with our community is essential. So find the Aventure de l’Innovation #20 presented by Pr Laurence Verneuil & Dr Jordan Sibeoni. That conference will take place in digital, on December 17th, 2020, register asap : aventures@lallianselab.com
