[#BIG2026] Can an innovation be excellent… without ever being ordered?
A key paradox emerged from the #conversation we moderated yesterday at #BIG, centered on a simple question: how do we create viable demand to accelerate #deeptech in healthcare?
Because there is a long journey between a relevant, available solution and that first order: → a value proposition to build for all stakeholders → a healthcare facility that must mobilize time, teams, and a budget to run a pilot → a procurement process to understand, anticipate, and coordinate → a contractual framework that needs to be in place → a manufacturer that is still in business to issue the invoice!
Ultimately, it requires orchestrating #alignment among the decision-maker, the payer, the prescriber, the beneficiary, and the end-user…
Market access is an integral part of the investment narrative (equity story) and cannot be considered only after commercial authorizations are granted. Evidence, the decision-making process, the budget, and the procurement pathway must all be prepared together, as early as possible.
This was one of the key questions at the heart of the dialogue held last Friday for the World M&A Alliance, organized by Inspirit Partners. It was a discussion orchestrated and moderated by Julie Rachline, featuring insights from:
Beyond the specific challenges and diverse realities of the healthcare sector, M&A activity in this field is particularly dynamic and efficient, yet grounded in practical realities: a deal requires foresight and is built on human relationships and a nuanced, local understanding—on both the buyer and seller sides. Culture and local dynamics are crucial; in healthcare, transactions cannot be conceived in isolation from their ecosystem.
It is precisely at the intersection of these factors that LallianSe supports and connects players in the sector.
A doctor doesn’t speak the same language as an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur doesn’t speak the same language as hospital management. Hospital management doesn’t speak the same language as an investor. An investor doesn’t speak the same language… you get the idea—it’s an endless loop!
And yet… talking, dialogue, and collaboration are essential for a healthcare innovation to become a reality. That is precisely where our story with the AP-HP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris) began in 2017, when we set up operations at the heart of the Pitié-Salpêtrière – Charles Foix University Hospitals. Over seven years of #hospitalimmersion, we gradually learned the codes, constraints, and realities—and learned to speak the languages—of the hospital ecosystem. Above all, we sparked #conversations.
These conversations paved the way for concrete initiatives: from the creation of #ASIIA (the Association of Innovative Start-ups from AP-HP) and the #BrainTale project to supporting the #OBE Foundation, as well as numerous collaborations involving doctors, paramedical staff, entrepreneurs, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
This spirit was very much present at the event “From Hospital to Start-up: Entrepreneurship for Healthcare Innovation,” held at the Sorbonne University Hospital Group (GHU). Four clinician-entrepreneurs came to share what drove them to take the leap into entrepreneurship: Pierre Mozer, Rachel Lévy, Harry Sokol, Louis PUYBASSET.
It was about translating the challenges of one “world” to make them understandable to another; enabling a clinician, an entrepreneur, an institution, or an investor to understand one another well enough to build together.
This ability to build bridges is what we have been cultivating for over a decade: creating the conditions for worlds that do not naturally speak the same language to understand each other, collaborate, and bring projects to life.
The project is still looking for the right entrepreneur. A leader is looking for the right investor… We are still looking for the right person to have the #conversation that can move things forward. And what if that conversation happened at BioFIT & MedFIT ?

[#RoundTable] #Women’s Health: from research to market, which path(s)?
Half the population is affected and involved. Beyond the necessary definition of what #Femtech is, we focused on sharing, exploring, and highlighting the challenges and needs of translating excellent academic research, particularly from the Institut Cochin, into the availability of solutions and products that benefit patients—and more broadly, society!
Organized by Julie Rachline, former investor and serial entrepreneur, this event offers four complementary perspectives:

Join us for a unique theatrical improvisation match, where the promotion of research takes on a new dimension!
Same format: 3 teams of 3 candidates, formed in advance. Each team, composed of an Entrepreneur / Researcher, an Investor and a representative of a technology transfer organization – where each does not play their role – will compete in comparative improvisation around a point of negotiation of a letter of intent.
Between experience, fantasies and realities, the players will stage the funny situations – or less! – of the negotiations, divergences and perspectives that form the backstage of innovation and reveal the different points of view.
The winning team will be elected by applause, and the refereeing, according to the rules of theatrical improvisation, will allow the orchestration of an animation of approximately 1h15, punctuated by dynamic exchanges with the guests. The evening will continue around a friendly cocktail.
