As the founder of Rumb and Polyominos and president of 49 Nord 6 Est – Frac Lorraine, his career explores the intersections of life sciences, innovation, the human body, creativity, and culture. It is a unique path that invites us to shift our perspective: what if creativity, experimentation, doubt, and even a change in viewpoint—elements essential to both research and art—could also transform the way we build, make decisions, and lead a company?

We have designed this evening to foster open, direct dialogue among peers in an intimate setting:

– What can art—and creativity in a broader sense—contribute to how we approach innovation, leadership, and business?
– How can one remain open to experimentation and doubt when, as a CEO, one must make quick decisions and rally an organization?
– Must we really choose between scientific excellence, business performance, and creative freedom?

An “equity story” isn’t just about telling a nice story… it’s about giving investors a clear rationale: why this solution? why you? and why now?

This is precisely the topic that Medicen Paris Region & PariSanté Campus have asked Julie Rachline, CEO LallianSe – Catalyseur d’action(s), to address on September 30th.

These #conversations are part of a three-workshop series dedicated to preparing for a #levéedefonds, featuring Claire Verschelde (@ICOSA | European Intellectual Property Firm) & matthieu collin (Inserm Transfert) and Nabil Gharios (DNA Finance).

To kick off Season 2, we are opening a two-way conversation around a topic that is rarely discussed: what happens to an Equity Story when the original investment thesis does not work out?

Using the concrete case of BrainTale, Julie Rachline, CEO LallianSe & Eric Garnier, President of Angels Santé, will look back at how an equity story is built, the convictions that underpin it, and what happens when reality ultimately takes the story in a different direction.

– How do you build an investment thesis? 
– How do you test it against reality? 
– And above all, how do you experience the end of a startup story when the project does not follow the trajectory you had hoped for?

An open conversation about choices, mistakes, lessons learned, and what can ultimately be gained from failure… or from experience.

A health economist, former Director General of the French National Authority for Health (HAS), and currently Inspector General of Social Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Fabienne boasts a wealth of experience combining technical expertise, institutional leadership, and health diplomacy. She also served as Deputy Director General and then Director General of the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety (ANSM), and as a diplomat on health and social affairs issues at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York. She has led major missions in regulation, public policy evaluation, and international negotiations. A qualified teacher and PhD in economics, she combines analytical rigor with strategic vision to shape the future of healthcare.

We designed this evening for open and direct discussions, in a small group setting, on the issues that are shaping the future of the life sciences ecosystem today :

  • Is dialogue possible between regulators, investors, and innovators?
