About last month… #October 2020

October was marked by our Aventure de l’Innovation #18, for the first time 100% digital. This 4-handed event, as shown behind the scenes, was hosted by Jean-Claude Ghislain. Find the replay here!

New! Having switched to 100% digital, we have decided to replace our traditional homemade aperitif with a competition! Extremely simple: a questionnaire is sent after the conference to all our registrants (only). A group of 5 people will be selected and will have the opportunity to have a privileged discussion session with the speaker, for this first edition Jean-Claude Ghislain of course, of about 2 hours. So never wait too long to register for the Aventure de l’Innovation!

Our partnerships

October  has been particularly intense! Starting with our partnership with the HealthTech Innovation Days, bringing together the international health community: investors, entrepreneurs, pharmaceutical industries, experts and others …

We then had the opportunity to get involved with the Fondation Maladies Rares. In line with our values, LallianSe also supports research and this is how we participated in the 2nd 2ème Ateliers de co-design e-santé & maladies rares on October 13, with the presence of Pascale Maisonneuve and Julie Rachline on this event 100 % digital in order to answer the regulatory questions of the various winners. It is a great echo of our support from the Fondation pour la Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale since 15 months.

And we created an EIT Health Catapult Semi-Finals Award on October 21st. In addition to a keynote by Julie Rachline in tandem with Kerry Ritz at the opening of the “biotech” day, we presented the “Most exciting market access perspective Prize” to PhagoMed, do you want to relive this moment? click here!

And there are still some events missing … Participation to the HealthTech Days of Semia, Innovation Days 4 Health of Sorbonne Université …. All in digital, having had to switch back to 100% home office working. If the lockdown #2 is a new ordeal, our activities are developing differently and we will soon be innovating to maintain the bond & the energy of all. Stay tuned!

Hello November !

We held our breath throughout Mr Emmanuel Macron’s speech on October 28th … but in vain … And despite our strict health protocol put in place as soon as the LallianSe LAB reopened last June, it was with great sadness that we had to close our coworking space at Pitié-Salpêtrière again, from October 30th, 2020 and for an indefinite period.

But we haven’t said our last word. Keeping the link with our community is essential for us. So check out our Aventure de l’Innovation #19: ‘L’assurance qualité : c’est important, et ça peut même être amusant’ presented by Joseph Barsey. This conference will take place in 100% digital, on Tuesday November 24th at 6:30 pm, register quickly: aventures@lallianselab.com

Launching our Challenge Innovation #2

Initiated by LallianSe, and joined by APHP.Sorbonne University, we are delighted to announce the official launch of our Innovation Challenge # 2!

Remember: on June 20, 2019, FestiLAB # 2 was held, a unique event that we organized with all the stakeholders in Health, to collect donations in order to support innovation projects carried out by paramedical staff at hospital sites of the APHP. Sorbonne Université group. Besides the Entrepreneurs, our acoustic rock band, Noémie de Lattre had given us the pleasure of being with us for this artistic and committed event.

We would like to thank all of our FestiLAB # 2 sponsors, who support this initiative: Crédit Mutuel Innovation, Dechert, L3S Partnership, Alira Health, Alizé RP, Pact & Partners, Tech2Med, HTI Executive search and LallianSe of course, who contribute to the commitment of the ecosystem and the development of innovations in Health.

Initially scheduled for the end of 2019, the Challenge Innovation # 2 project survived the first months of 2020 and it is with great enthusiasm that we are launching this call for projects, in order to support innovation but also to bring constructive prospects for interested hospital staff.

Thus, in partnership with the Innovation Department of Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, we organized the ‘Rencontre de l’Innovation’ on September 18, 2020 to announce the launch of this Challenge and to discuss with staff paramedical & technical of the hospital group.

What if we took stock of the year 2019 – 2020?

This year has been particularly confusing: short & long at the same time, interspersed, full of twists and turns, uncertainties and challenges …

With:

  • 28 companies driven by LallianSe Entrepreneurs
  • 3 new start-ups including 5 people hosted by LallianSe LAB
  • 5 external events as an organizer or a partner (France and US)
  • 2 LallianSe work-study students and 1 intern recruited
  • 3 Aventures de l’Innovation bringing together more than 100 people from our community
  • 1 new website and 1 blog
  • + 130 new subscribers on our social networks (thank you!)
  • X institutional partners including Business France, Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale, BPI France le Hub, Fondation Maladies Rares and many more to come …
  • Not forgetting: 4 new bright pink flamingos at the LallianSe LAB

But it’s hardly a bed of roses like the latter… 2019 – 2020  was also marked by:

  • 4 Aventures de l’Innovation canceled
  • 1 Challenge Innovation et 1 Remise de Prix postponed
  • 1 FestiLAB #3 postponed to 2021
  • 3 months of closure of the LallianSe LAB

This year allowed us to realize how thrilled we were to work together on a daily basis, whether between: the LallianSe team, the LallianSe LAB coworkers, our Experts and our clients, but also during our events.

So in 𝟏 one word: 𝑀𝐸𝑅𝐶𝐼! We wish all our community LallianSe a great summer, see you soon!

Pitié Salpêtrière’s coworking reopening !

After almost 3 months of closure, LallianSe LAB reopened its doors this morning! It is with great joy that the LallianSe team will welcome its coworkers, in compliance with the barrier measures recommended by the Government:

  • Hydroalcoholic gels
  • Workstation reconfiguration and physical distance maintening
  • Use of videoconference and limitation of visitors
  • Reduction of the capacity of meeting rooms etc …

Do not hesitate to contact us before coming to see us, and in case you have forgotten where we are and how the LallianSe LAB is …: https://youtu.be/XTF5dO4XcCw

  1. Who are you and what was your journey until the creation of LallianSe?

Scientist, investor and recruiter before revealing myself in entrepreneurship, I have a passion for innovation and health. And a frustration at not seeing more health products from inventions and projects from French academic or clinical research; This is why I wanted to build a different proposal, focused on people, taking key steps in the development of health products, all with a fundamental anchor based on the needs of patients and professionals.

2. Why did you embark on this adventure?

The desire for novelty, to dive into uncertainty and to build a professional and personal adventure

3. What is the achievement in LallianSe that you are most proud of?

They are plural: it is as much the fact of having succeeded in building a community which adheres to the values and to the LallianSe project as it aims at improving the daily life of certain patients, to treat others or even to solve challenges of collaborative and original innovation! Finally, it is also about learning, making mistakes, recovering from failures, correcting things, experimenting, profiting from successes … by taking on this collective.

4. What are the factors that make LallianSe successful?

The pleasure of interacting with the team, the Experts, our customers and our partners with whom we share our values. It is above all an approach: capitalizing on personalities, ideas and collective experiences that make our interactions extremely effective. Really looking forward to the future under these conditions, which I hope will allow us to use the term “success”

in 3 words : smile, demanding, solar. And who prefers pink flamingos to unicorns!

Our team : Shahrzad Moradi, Fairy

  1. What was your journey to your LallianSe adventure?

I’m Shahrzad, in charge of the LallianSe LAB space, of LallianSe Events, communication and general administration at LallianSe. I’m also a partner with LallianSe Entrepreneurs. Graduated with a Bachelor & Master’s Degree in English, I had the opportunity to live 2 years abroad (Prague then London). Finally, I finished my studies with a master’s degree in Event & Tourism.

  1. Why did you join the adventure?

When Julie introduced to me the ‘LallianSe LAB’ project in February 2017, I was very excited about the idea of taking part in the construction and development of this unique working space within Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital in a proactive manner. Very quickly, I joined LallianSe as a whole, because that’s where I found a real human adventure where caring, fulfillment and creativity, among others, are part of the everyday life.

  1. Can you share with us examples of your daily responsibilities?

I mainly take care of the good functioning and the ‘wellbeing’’ at LallianSe: whether within the LallianSe LAB between coworkers and hospital personnel, but also with the Experts and clients or partners at LallianSe Entrepreneurs, and finally in a more general way for our whole community thanks to LallianSe Events. I also contribute to the development and visibility of our various activities. From time to time, I also do DIY, garden, cook … a real Swiss knife!

  1. What are the factors that make your collaboration with LallianSe a success?

To my opinion, it’s firstly the human qualities that make it a success: friendliness, collaborative approach, sharing and common values come to unite our group on a human scale. It is also the excellence of our community that contributes to the success of our collaboration: there is a collective ambition to build together the foundations of a better health.

In 3 words : Conscientious, creative and… organized!

Shahrzad

I joined LallianSe because I like entrepreneurial projects in which there can be human and organizational challenges I love to get involved with and bring my added-value and experience.

  1. Can you give us examples of your daily responsibilities?

I have no daily responsibilities, but I try to bring an outside look and some advice on the financial monitoring of structures, the development of a budget, a strategic plan, and resolve operational challenges.

  1. What are the factors that make your collaboration with LallianSe a success?

LallianSe is a small structure and therefore the main factor to me is first-of-all the good understanding between each stakeholder. Then the other factor is that my advice or my intervention would be useful and positive. The day it will no longer the case, I will stop.

In 3 words : Analytical, sincere and rigorous.

  1. Can you give us examples of your daily responsibilities?

I have been collaborating on the Medtech DTAMedical project for more than 2 years. The evolution of the extent of this project, very regional at the beginning & centered on its founder, towards a project with an international extent, the equity story hub having attracted the best opinion leaders in the medical field is a great achievement that was able to be done with beyond functional expertise on the development of trust between the founder and LallianSe.
