Month: October 2026

About last months September & October 2026

Conversations that make a difference…

If we had to sum up the start of the 2026 season in one word, it would be conversations! Not the ones that offer reassurance, but the ones that put slides to the test of reality, bring investors and entrepreneurs face to face, and bridge worlds that don’t speak the same language.

It’s also the start of a new chapter under a new identity: LallianSe, Catalyst for Action(s). Every conversation we’ve been part of over the past two months illustrates this mission: LallianSe creates the conditions for the right conversation to happen, at the right time, between the right people.

#SHEDLIGHT

Daring to have uncomfortable conversations

#MoneyQuest season episode #1 : ERROR 404 When the equity story doesn’t go as planned !

To kick off this second season, we went where things get a little less comfortable… On September 28, Julie Rachline, CEO of LallianSe and former CEO of BrainTale, shared her experience with Eric Garnier, President of Angels Santé, former investor in BrainTale and former member of its board. The discussion explored how an investment thesis evolves when viewed by an investor and a former CEO, what happens when reality forces a pivot, and how to navigate the end of a journey.

Equity Story: ERROR 404! The thesis didn’t work… Failure or experience?

No ready-made answers, just an open space for debate and collective learning.

MoneyQuest Season 2, Episode #2: When the financial roadmap goes off track, can you bounce back?

The conversation continues on October 23. Alongside Jérémy Ballet, CFO and Operating Partner at Alkyon Group, we explored what happens when financial roadmaps go off course: a fundraising round that drags on, an unsuitable capital structure, faster-than-expected growth, or shareholders no longer speaking the same language.

A failed roadmap is rarely an isolated accident. More often, it reveals a deeper misalignment between strategic vision and individual interests. Does it condemn the company to failure, or can it become a turning point?

#Conversations: LallianSe’s conversation starters

Because social media should be a place for interaction and debate, rather than a succession of success stories and top-down certainties, we’re trying something new to open up the conversation with our community.

What really causes a project to fail? Is a good idea enough to make a good project? And what about human capital? Perhaps the right question is no longer “Do we have the talent to innovate?” but rather “Are we truly creating the conditions for innovation?” Are the right people those with the most impressive CVs, or those who also know how to listen and challenge their own assumptions?

These open calls are an invitation to challenge established beliefs and put our own questions and doubts into words. An initiative that builds on LallianSe’s DNA.

Two calls are already live — discover them in our dedicated article here.

#TRANSFORM

Equipping, translating, bringing people together

Equity story: how do you turn an ambition into a compelling narrative?

Together with Medicen Paris Region and PariSanté Campus, Julie Rachline led a workshop on September 30 as part of a three-session series (September 8, September 30 and October 15) dedicated to fundraising preparation. Alongside ICOSA, Inserm Transfert and DNA Finance, the goal was to bring together the expertise HealthTech founders need, at the right time.

Three key takeaways from the workshop:

  • Make people want to be part of what comes next;
  • Apply the KISS principle: keep it simple, but not simplistic;
  • Be able to explain your project in one minute, without jargon;

Some participants even took on the 1-minute challenge.

Do you speak “LallianSe”? The art of creating a common language

A physician, an entrepreneur, a hospital executive and an investor don’t speak the same language. Yet healthcare innovation can only become reality when they understand one another. This is what we’ve been working on since 2017, drawing on seven years of immersion in the hospital environment at Pitié-Salpêtrière, from the creation of ASIIA to the BrainTale project.

We found the same dynamic at the “From Hospital to Start-up” event at GHU Sorbonne Université, where Julie Rachline moderated a panel featuring four clinicians who are also serial entrepreneurs: Pierre Mozer, Rachel Lévy, Harry Sokol and Louis Puybasset. Our role: translating the challenges of one world into terms another can understand.

#ACTION(S)

Facing the realities of the market

#BIG2026 — Can an innovation be excellent… and never get ordered?

On October 8, at the Accor Arena, alongside La French Care and Bpifrance’s Deeptech team, we moderated a panel around a simple question: how can we create solvent demand to accelerate health deeptech? Joining the discussion were Noa Bach (AP-HP, Paris Public Hospital System), Peggy Rematier (Bpifrance), Julie Rachline (LallianSe — Catalyst for Action(s) and former CEO of BrainTale — yes, wearing both hats!), Louis Potel (Resah) and Hicham Chehade (OPTACARE).

The takeaway: between a relevant solution and its first purchase order lie several hurdles — evidence of value, an available budget, a purchasing process, a contractual vehicle and a manufacturer that is still in business and able to invoice. Market access is an integral part of the equity story. It cannot be an afterthought once regulatory approvals have been secured. A major challenge for our healthcare system… and for innovation!

World M&A Alliance: Healthcare in Europe — opportunities for M&A? ?

At the invitation of Inspirit Partners on behalf of the World M&A Alliance, Julie Rachline moderated a discussion bringing together Grégoire Chauvière Le Drian from the European Investment Bank (EIB), Loïc Gonnet, Head of M&A at Sanofi, Benoit Varichon, Partner at ARCHIMED, and Pascal Raidron, Founder of EIGHT ADVISORY.

Their message was clear: a deal must be anticipated and built around people, with a thorough understanding of local dynamics. In healthcare, transactions cannot be considered independently of the ecosystems in which they take place.

Eurasanté x LallianSe: six years of partnership

As partners of BioFIT and MedFIT, we’ve supported these events for six years. They bring together more than 2,000 participants from 35 countries, 200 exhibitors and over 100 international speakers. An ideal setting for us to play our role as a catalyst: building bridges and sparking connections.

Partner benefit: enjoy 20% off your full pass. Get in touch to take advantage of the offer.

World with Women, October 13: When women stop, the world stops (or almost…)

To shine a light on what still goes unseen, the LallianSe team chose to step out of the spotlight for a day. A first step, but not the end of the journey: the real challenge is to contribute collectively, day in and day out. And thanks to Emmanuelle Quilès for bringing us into the loop!

A collective manifesto: the wishes keep coming in

For the past two years, we’ve replaced individual New Year’s wishes with a shared wish box, bringing together contributions to create a collective manifesto. Thank you to Aude Nyadanu (Lowpital and NoviSano), Philippe Mendels-Flandre, AUSTRAL Dx, Karine Lignel, Oncodesign Precision Medicine — OPM and Patrick Errard for contributing. And even outside the New Year’s season — although it’s approaching fast — we’d love to hear your wishes. Share yours here: submit your wish.

#PERSPECTIVES

In a nutshell, these two months have reinforced our conviction: a good idea is not enough, and neither is a good conversation unless it translates into action(s).

We’ve shed light on failure and pivots without filters, equipped founders with practical tools, translated between worlds, put innovation to the test of market realities and M&A dynamics, and started preparing for what’s next in Malta and beyond.

What comes next? Staying true to our DNA: aligning vision, economic realities and stakeholders, one conversation at a time — or not!

To be continued

Season 2 Episode #3 – #MoneyQuest webinar series

Friday, November 27th, 2026,
from 12pm to 1pm

Online via Teams — Registration required

I WANT TO REGISTER

LallianSe invites you to join a new expedition: a webinar series exploring the key stages of a company’s financial journey in healthcare.

🎯 🎯 The objective? To provide a compass for navigating times of uncertainty, questioning and adaptation. Each episode draws on the experience of the healthcare ecosystem — entrepreneurs, investors and experts — to help navigate the right equation: the right dynamics, with the right people, at the right time.

Season 2 episode 3
Claude, my new bestie.
Really ?

AI is becoming a part of our daily lives. We explore, we test… but what are the expected—or actual—benefits?

An assistant that saves minutes or even hours. A tool that writes, analyzes, codes, and automates. Tasks disappear, and professions evolve—or vanish entirely. What is the impact on our ecosystem? What can we truly delegate to Claude? How does it affect our work?

Does the failure of a roadmap doom the company? Or can it, on the contrary, become a turning point?

We invite you to join a discussion with Stéphane Milot, CFO & LallianSe expert who will share his (perhaps intense?) relationship with Claude. Together, we will explore how AI can tangibly transform the way we work, while also addressing questions such as:

  • For a startup, is AI a productivity driver, a competitive advantage, or a new dependency?
  • What can we realistically entrust to Claude today? What pitfalls should we avoid?
  • And above all, how do we know what to delegate to AI… and what should remain human-controlled?

This will be an open conversation about use cases, experiments, tangible gains, and the limitations of AI. How can AI simplify—or complicate—our tasks, and what are the broader impacts? Let’s open up the discussion and explore this together.

Julie Rachline, CEO LallianSe opens the conversation: with Stéphane Milot, CFO & Expert LallianSe.

An inspiring and interactive conversation designed for healthcare executives and managers.

World With Women 2026, October 13rd

Whenever women stop, the world stops (or almost…)

Whenever women unite, the world transforms!

On October 13th, with *World with Women*, let’s “disappear” strategically… only to re-emerge stronger and shine a light on what isn’t yet visible enough.

Wearing our LallianSe hats, we chose to disappear – even while in the middle of a meeting.

A single day is a good start, but it’s not enough! What about tomorrow? Let’s all contribute, move forward collectively, and grow together.

BIG 2026 by bpifrance

[#BIG2026] Can an innovation be excellent… without ever being ordered?

A key paradox emerged from the #conversation we moderated yesterday at #BIG, centered on a simple question: how do we create viable demand to accelerate #deeptech in healthcare?

Because there is a long journey between a relevant, available solution and that first order:
→ a value proposition to build for all stakeholders
→ a healthcare facility that must mobilize time, teams, and a budget to run a pilot
→ a procurement process to understand, anticipate, and coordinate
→ a contractual framework that needs to be in place
→ a manufacturer that is still in business to issue the invoice!

Ultimately, it requires orchestrating #alignment among the decision-maker, the payer, the prescriber, the beneficiary, and the end-user…

Market access is an integral part of the investment narrative (equity story) and cannot be considered only after commercial authorizations are granted. Evidence, the decision-making process, the budget, and the procurement pathway must all be prepared together, as early as possible.

Thanks to Noa Bach (AP-HP, Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris), Peggy Rematier (Bpifrance), Julie Rachline (LallianSe – Catalyseur d’action(s) & ex #Braintale wearing two hats) Louis Potel (Resah) and Hicham CHEHADE (OPTACARE) for their highly complementary insights and experiences… and, of course, to the audience for actively participating in the Q&A and voting throughout the discussion !

A topic that clearly deserves further exploration: how can we shorten the time between an innovation becoming available and its actual use?

WMAA by Inspirit Partners

Healthcare in Europe: opportunities for M&A?

This was one of the key questions at the heart of the dialogue held last Friday for the World M&A Alliance, organized by Inspirit Partners. It was a discussion orchestrated and moderated by Julie Rachline, featuring insights from:

Grégoire Chauvière Le Drian – European Investment Bank (EIB)
Loïc Gonnet – Head of M&A at Sanofi,
Benoit Varichon – partner at ARCHIMED
Pascal Raidron – founder of EIGHT ADVISORY

Beyond the specific challenges and diverse realities of the healthcare sector, M&A activity in this field is particularly dynamic and efficient, yet grounded in practical realities: a deal requires foresight and is built on human relationships and a nuanced, local understanding—on both the buyer and seller sides. Culture and local dynamics are crucial; in healthcare, transactions cannot be conceived in isolation from their ecosystem.

It is precisely at the intersection of these factors that LallianSe supports and connects players in the sector.

Do you speak « LallianSe » ?

A doctor doesn’t speak the same language as an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur doesn’t speak the same language as hospital management. Hospital management doesn’t speak the same language as an investor. An investor doesn’t speak the same language… you get the idea—it’s an endless loop!

And yet… talking, dialogue, and collaboration are essential for a healthcare innovation to become a reality. That is precisely where our story with the AP-HP (Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris) began in 2017, when we set up operations at the heart of the Pitié-Salpêtrière – Charles Foix University Hospitals. Over seven years of #hospitalimmersion, we gradually learned the codes, constraints, and realities—and learned to speak the languages—of the hospital ecosystem. Above all, we sparked #conversations.

These conversations paved the way for concrete initiatives: from the creation of #ASIIA (the Association of Innovative Start-ups from AP-HP) and the #BrainTale project to supporting the #OBE Foundation, as well as numerous collaborations involving doctors, paramedical staff, entrepreneurs, and other ecosystem stakeholders.

This spirit was very much present at the event “From Hospital to Start-up: Entrepreneurship for Healthcare Innovation,” held at the Sorbonne University Hospital Group (GHU). Four clinician-entrepreneurs came to share what drove them to take the leap into entrepreneurship: Pierre Mozer, Rachel Lévy, Harry Sokol, Louis PUYBASSET.

It was about translating the challenges of one “world” to make them understandable to another; enabling a clinician, an entrepreneur, an institution, or an investor to understand one another well enough to build together.

This ability to build bridges is what we have been cultivating for over a decade: creating the conditions for worlds that do not naturally speak the same language to understand each other, collaborate, and bring projects to life.

A failed financial roadmap!
Can you bounce back? (And how?!)

A fundraising round that drags on. A capital structure that no longer fits. Growth that outpaces projections. A shareholder base no longer speaking the same language…

A failed financial roadmap is never an isolated incident; it is the symptom of a deeper misalignment between strategic vision and the interests of the various stakeholders.

Does a failed roadmap doom the company? Or can it, conversely, become a turning point?

We invite you to a discussion with Jérémy Ballet, CFO and Operating Partner (Alkyon Group), as he reflects on what causes a financial trajectory to go off track, and addresses key questions:

  • What is the first warning sign that a financial roadmap is derailing?
  • When difficulties arise, what is the first conversation to have—and with whom?
  • How do you get things back on track? How do you rebuild trust?
  • And above all, can a financial failure be turned into a controlled turnaround?

An open conversation about choices, mistakes, lessons learned, and what can ultimately be gained from a failure—or simply an experience.

Julie Rachline, CEO LallianSe opens the conversation with Jérémy Ballet, President of Angels Santé.
